Look for an "Add eSIM" or EID option:
- iPhone: Settings → General → About → look for an EID, or Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM.
- Android: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add eSIM (or Download a SIM instead).
Two things a model alone can't tell you
- Your phone must be carrier-unlocked. A phone locked to the carrier you bought it from can't use a third-party eSIM. If you're unsure, ask that carrier to unlock it — it's usually free once the phone is paid off.
- Where you bought it can matter. A few regional variants differ from the global model — most notably iPhones bought in mainland China, which ship with dual physical SIMs and no eSIM.
